Charging Your Inner-Warning Bell

It never hurts to have an added support system to warn you of trouble, especially when you are new to the psychic world and have not yet fully developed your psychic intuition to where it reliably works well for you. This intuition will come naturally in time to those who seriously study Witchcraft. There are also ways to speed up and enhance the process: through divination (reading the future through tarot cards, scrying, etcetera) or through exercises designed to help hone these skills, such as attempting to divine the shape of a hidden symbol.

Another way to hone this skill is to work with a partner and while one is trying to hold onto a mental image, the other can be trying to discern that image. This last method works exceptionally well because you are working with thought forms.

Thought forms are the etheric results of sustained visualization. On the unseen plane (see. chapter 9 for full discussion) your thoughts have life and substance just as you have on the earth plane. In other words, your focused thoughts coalesce into energy patterns that you can charge and manipulate to work for you.

You can create a protective warning device from any bell by using your thought forms and the charging techniques you have already learned. Tb make one of these, empower the bell with your desire that it be a warning device for you in the event that you are approached by a negative being or by someone else's focused negative thoughts.    Hold the bell up to your third eye chakra just above and between your eyes). This is your psychic center; and an excellent place for pushing a thought form out of your mind and into the real world. Visualize a small energy field growing behind your eyes, one that is a part of you but that still has a sentience of its own. See it as a protective sphere of dense  light, and make it any color that makes you think of warning. Red is always a good choice, but white and orange can work well too. As it takes form, mentally charge it with its exact task. Speak or think out each word clearly as you charge it:

Sphere of perfect, protective energy, my magickal child-I charge you to enter and stay in this hell from where you will stand watch over me and my home until I hid you stop. Sound the bell loudly should any negative being, energy, or intent be directed this way. As you are part of me and as I will this, so mote it be

Mentally project the thought form out through your third eye chakra and into the bell. This may take several minutes. Don't rush the process. You want to be sure you have transferred your will into the bell and not elsewhere. You also want to take the time to sense whether you have projected enough energy into this spell or not. A weak thought form will not be much of a protector This is why it may be important to repeat this process several times to achieve the level of protection you want.

Hang the bell over a doorway or near your bed. Remember that it may not actually ring when it warns you, that is, it may not actually emit sound waves in the physical world. You may think you hear it-psychically-whether you are near it or not. Or you may see or hear it ring in a dream, or your attention may be drawn to it at an odd moment. Take all these as a warning sign of impending problems so that you can take steps to protect yourself.

Some Witches are fearful of creating thought forms or any other type of elemental being. These forms do have their drawbacks in that they can get away from you if you are not psychically sensitive or magically skilled enough to keep up with them. They can even turn on you if taken over by another "master" more powerful than you. But, in truth, the chances of either of these things happening are pretty slirn.

An interesting story about a thought-for I came upon some years ago, and for which I cannot now remember the source:

During the time when Apollo 13 was limping back to earth after being damaged by an explosion, the astronauts reported trouble with the onboard computer.   Some witches decided they would try to help magically, and got together to create a thought-form (tulpa).  It is much easier to work with a character already in existence because so much of the visualisation and charaterisation work has been done for you.  In 1968 there was one fictional computer expert par excellence - Star Trek's Mr Spock.  A tulpa was duly created and sent out to do its work, with instructions to return when  the task was completed.  Shortly thereafter, one of the astronauts reported that he was hallucinating... he'd just seen Mr Spock examining the computer.  Shortly thereafter the computer began to work properly...

When its job is complete, a tulpa must be dismissed or it will hang around causing trouble.  Mr Spock was summoned, thanked, and told that his work was done and  his services no longer required.  He is alleged to have answered "I suppose that is logical"!
